To adapt the new Grigri² for thin ropes, the geometry of the product had to be changed. The angle of holding the rope being slightly different, the rope is more rapidly wearing the side plate
The material of construction and the coating of the new side plate are identical to the old version of Grigri.
This type of wear doesn’t affect the rope neither the product’s performance as the marks on the side plate are smooth as the rope will continue to polish the side plate.
In case of wear creating a sharp edge, it is possible to gently smooth the surface with a fine sand paper.

A mi grigri 2 le pasa lo mismo, pero al usar una cuerda de 10,3 (que sigue siendo el rango de las ideales según petzl) esta bastante mas acentuado.
